Todd Bankofier
President and CEO, Arizona Technology Council and member of Arizona Governor’s Council on Innovation and Technology

Todd Bankofier was appointed President of the Arizona Technology Council on December 10th, 2002. The AZ Tech Council has a strategic mission to lead a unified effort to grow the technology economy in Arizona, thus elevating the state’s stature as a top-tier center for technology based industries in the country.

Prior to this role he served for four years as Executive Director of National Sales for XO Communications, a national telecommunications company. In his management capacity at XO he witnessed first hand both the explosive growth of the Dot.com boom and the travails of a technology company, which filed Chapter 11 after struggling through a severe industry downturn.

Prior to his role at XO he served for four years as the Sr. Vice President of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. He oversaw all the Economic Development and Public Policy initiatives for the Chamber including creation and implementation of the annual public policy agenda, the Arizona Venture Capital Conference, Bid Source; the state’s largest government procurement assistance program, all business retention and expansion programs, supplier/vendor management, and all capital access programs. Todd has over 10 years experience in lobbying at the Federal, State, County and City levels. In Washington, D.C. he served as an assistant to the Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy and served on the staff of the Senator Paul Laxalt, NV.
